Mangaluru, Sep 15: Manipal School, Mangaluru hosted the AICS English language training programme for teachers at MCODS, Attavar on September 12. This event was organized under the aegis of AICS (Association of ICSE and CBSE schools of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts) and provided an opportunity for professional development of teachers. This programme is the brainchild of Prof Mathew C Ninan, who is the charter president of AICS and the director of Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp followed by Anuradha Shivaram, welcoming the gathering which had around 50 teachers from different city schools. In his sessions Prof Ninan covered aspects of language acquisition, phonetics, usage of idioms and grammar. The teachers actively participated in the discussions, sharing their experiences and gaining valuable insights from Prof Ninan's expertise.
This English language training programme by AICS is the first in a series of sessions that will be held in Udupi and Mangaluru districts in order to equip teachers with the knowledge and confidence to excel in English language instruction.
Admission managers Mamatha and Rakshitha, ensured the smooth conduct of the programme and Prajwal provided the necessary tech support.
