Beltangady, Aug 13: “Every citizen has civil rights and duties. If everyone is aware of his or her civic duties, it will lead to equality and life will be dignified in society. If the local administration provides a conducive environment to follow law and order, the citizens can expect the authorities to make it compulsory,” said Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
Dr Heggade was speaking after releasing the handbills of formulas for civic awareness, here on Friday August 12. Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) will embark on a campaign to create civic awareness in across the taluk from Monday August 15.
Taluk Pragatibandu Federation president Narayan Salian, Pragatibandu zonal president Padmanabha Gowda, project directors Jayashankar Sharma and Sampat Kumar, project officers Shankar Shetty and Dinesh, co-ordinator Satyavati and Mallika were present on the occasion.
Project officer Vasant Salian welcomed the gathering. Director Vishwanat Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
