Kundapur, Aug 2: Two students of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School (CBSE), Trasi – Kundapur bagged silver medals at the World City Cup for Abacus, Mental Arithmetic and Math Competitions held at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu recently.

Parvadhi P M of Class 3 and Chaithanya of class 6 are the world champions who outsmarted many other contenders that participated in the event from all over India and world over. They were trained, prepared and accompanied to the place of the event by Prasanna, the abacus trainer and his team. The students were selected from among a group of 30 students who are undergoing training in Abacus in the School during the co-curricular activity classes.

It may be noted that Don Bosco School, Trasi lays great stress on co-curricular activities such as music, dance, art & craft, skating, chess, karate, yoga etc. The school provides ample opportunities to students to develop their talents and skills in various fields of interest. As a result, quite many students have made their own marks in the national and international level competitions in yoga, karate, art and abacus in the recent years.
