Mangaluru: Career guidance session held at St Agnes PU College

Mangaluru, Aug 1: With a plethora of career options available in the contemporary times, the role of career guidance session becomes indispensable. In this regard, department of biology organised a career guidance session at St Agnes PU College on July 28 in the auditorium.

The achievers who brought laurels to the college by their outstanding performance in the II PUC annual examination March 2023 of the science stream were felicitated. The toppers Samruddhi D, Ananya Madhu, Vandan Rasquinha and G Nisha Bangera along with the centum scorers and distinction holders of the science streams were felicitated by the principal Sr Norine D'Souza, vice principal Sr Janet Sequeira and chief guest Ankith S Kumar. 

Samruddhi D the topper of the science stream in her speech stated, "We need to work hard, be dedicated and consistent to turn out our dreams into reality."

Ankith S Kumar, counsellor, department of counselling welfare training and placement, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte was the resource person. He emphasized on various career options available after completion of PU students received a wide range of information pertaining to their respective combinations in addition to the conventional choices, which they can opt for after their II PUC, he also threw light upon the profusion of newer opportunities available to students.

The programme was co-ordinated by Shobha, HOD, department of biology. The session was compered by Liekitha, department of home science, Ashwin Kumar, department of physics took charge of the felicitation ceremony. Suvasini, dean for science stream welcomed the gathering and Prathista, department of biology rendered the vote of thanks.
