Bangalore, Jul 29: "The church of Karnataka has journeyed a long way with your able leadership and contribution," said Dr Bernard Moras, president of Karnataka Regional Catholic Bishops Conference (KRCBC) and Archbishop of Bangalore while thanking, complementing and bidding adieu to Fr Faustine L Lobo and Fr Franklin D'Souza.
It was a sublime moment at Regional Pastoral Centre (KROSS), Bangalore with the presence of all the bishops of Karnataka gathered to thank, appreciate and complement both Fr Faustine Lobo for having played a great and unique role at the regional level as the coordinator of KRPPC and PRO for the Church in Karnataka and Fr Franklin D'Souza for ingraining spirituality among the youth in Karnataka.
Fr Faustine has been appointed as the national director of Pontifical Mission Societies by the Vatican Congregation of Evangelization of People while Fr Franklin D'Souza has been appointed as the national director for Youth Commission of the CBCI.
Fr Faustine, recollecting his experiences and memories of the past said how unique and new was the task assigned to him which he accomplished with great satisfaction with the help and support from all the bishops, various regional commissions secretaries, diocesan secretaries and various religious congregations.
Fr Franklin with a sense of accomplishment thanked all those who were instrumental in making his task easy and fruitful and requesting prayers for the success of his ministry.
Fr Mari Joseph was welcomed as the Regional Youth Director by the Archbishop.
Sr Genevieve CSSST, felicitated briefly narrating their contributions to the region of Karnataka. Fr Ronald Cardoza was the master of ceremony.
The programme was well organised by Fr Peter Brank and team of KROSS.
While Fr Franklin will be stationed at New Delhi, Fr Faustine will function from the Pontifical Mission Societies office, Bangalore.
