Mangalore, Jul 28: While about 10 lac students took to streets nationwide, about 1000 students under the leadership of the local unit of ABVP took out a rally from Jyothi Circle to Town Hall here on Wednesday July 27. The rallly culminated in a protest meet.
Addressing the gathering ABVP state president Dr B V Vasanth Kumar said that the 2G spectrum scam was the biggest in the world. "The scam has shaken the political and social system in the country, and there is a need for the youth to understand the peril posed by corrupt politicians," he said.
The youth should come forward against such anti-national powers and join hands with Anna Hazare. There is no future for this country unless the issue of black money is sorted out, he said.
Student leaders were present on the occasion. Mahesh welcomed. Prof Rajaram delivered the vote of thanks. Savitha compered the programme.
