Mangaluru: CyberSapiens hold session on 'Cyber Crime and Internet Safety' at St Agnes PU College

Mangaluru, Jul 4: St Agnes PU College organized an impactful 'Cyber Crime and Internet Safety' session on June 27 for the second time, in collaboration with the cyber crime police station and CyberSapiens. The session attracted a substantial turnout of over 650+ students and staff, highlighting the importance of the topic in today's digital era.

Commencing with a prayer song and warm greetings, the session delved deep into the intricate aspects of cybercrime, with a specific focus on social engineering techniques like phishing, smishing, and vishing. Through live demonstrations and real-life scenarios, attendees gained invaluable insights into hackers' strategies for acquiring sensitive information, leaving a lasting impression and enhancing their understanding of the potential risks associated with cybercrime. 

Alongside highlighting the modus operandi of cybercriminals, the session underscored the utmost significance of personal protection measures. Attendees were equipped with essential strategies and best practices to safeguard themselves against cyber threats, empowering them to secure their online presence and prevent unauthorized access to their personal information.

Renowned cyber security analyst Abdul Rameez from CyberSapiens served as a distinguished expert speaker, sharing valuable insights and actionable tips to enhance attendees' awareness of digital security. The presence of police constable Mohan Lamani and police constable Pavan from the cyber crime police station further emphasized the session's importance and credibility.
