Beltangady: Sacred Heart English medium school's pre-primary section, park inaugurated

Beltangady, Jun 27: The inauguration and blessing of renovated building of Sacred Heart English medium pre-primary school and children's park was held on June 26.

Chief guest was welcomed by playing school band. Bishop of Mangalore Diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha inaugurated the building and children’s park by cutting the ribbon.

The programme began with a prayer. Bishop gave his blessings. In his presidential speech, Bishop said, “Even if we forget anything else, we never forget the education we have learnt and the institution in which we have studied. If we cannot remember all the subjects during studying, we must remember the school, the teachers who have taught us and the environment.”

The chief guests for the function included Fr Antony Michael Sera, secretary of catholic educational institutions, Dr Stany Goveas, convener of Madanthyar Sacred Heart educational institutions, Fr Basil Vas, parish priest of Varkady church, Fr Jerome D’Souza, principal of Sacred heart PU college, Fr William D’Souza, assistant parish priest of Madanthyar church, Chethana, resource person, Punjalkatte zone educational institutions, Jerald Moras, vice president of parish council and Valerian Serrao, vice president of Parent-Teacher association.

President of the function felicitated all those who strived for the new renovated building construction. Head teachers of all educational institutions of Madanthyar, members of school administrative committee, members of parent teacher association, old students, parents, teachers and non-teaching staff and students were present.

Saujanya compered the event. Anita D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Shanti D’Souza rendered vote of thanks.
