Mangaluru, Jun 19: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology has initiated a proud tradition of organizing Tech Yuva, a national level techno cultural & sports fest in the year 2013 with the aim of providing platform to showcase the talents of younger generation.
This year we will be organising 'Tech Yuva-23' on Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23. The 1st edition of Tech Yuva was organised ten years ago. Since beginning, every year, around 400 participants from different engineering colleges from Karnataka and nearby States (Goa, Tamilnadu, Kerala) have participated in the event.
Rathnakar S Bhat, CEO & director of Karnataka Microelectronic Design Private Limited (and Member of Technical Group, Texas Instruments Team, Kilby Labs, TI – Dallas) has kindly agreed to be the chief guest of this mega event on June 22. Er Rathnakar S Bhat has 17 years of rich experience in the field of microprocessor chip design, Analog Layout, Automation Tools, Pearl Shell, Power Management Chips Design and has successfully completed more than hundreds of projects in India, USA, Germany, France and other countries.
On Saturday, June 24, we will be organizing cultural extravaganza 'Kalaspandana-23' for our students. Manohar S Shetty, chairman & managing director of Sai Radha Group (and president of CREDAI, president of Association of Coastal Tourism and president of Rangasthala Cultural Service Trust) has kindly agreed to be the chief guest of this event.
Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, Hon’ble chancellor of Srinivas University will preside over both the functions.
The fest promises to bring together engineering students from affiliated colleges from different parts of Karnataka. This year, the college is expecting around 900 – 1,000 participants for this mega event with a gathering of around 2,500 engineering students over two days. A wide range of Technical competitions namely Paper Presentation, Model Making, Collage, Robo Wars, 3D CAD Modeling, Code Hunt, Design & Build Challenge, Robo Soccer, Line Follower, RC Racing, Technical Quiz, Paper Airplane, Takshak, Just A Minute, Markovista and other competitions will be conducted on the first day (June 22); Cultural & Sports events namely Singing, Solo and Group Dance, Tug of War, Basket Ball, Badminton, Volleyball, Face Painting, Mock Press, Treasure Hunt, Stand-Up Comedy, BGMI, Slow Bike Race, etc will be conducted on the second day (June 23) for Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security & Cyber Forensics, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Commerce & Management students of other colleges. Sports events namely Chess, Kabaddi and Table Tennis will be organised on both the days. Tech Yuva-23 includes more than 50 different varieties of competitions in technical, cultural, literary and sports category. A special DJ event by DJ Jathin is organized on June 23 at 3 pm for the participants.
The inaugural function of Tech Yuva will be held at 10.30 am on Thursday, June 22) and inaugural function of Kalaspandana at 10.30 am on Saturday, June 24 at Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mukka campus.
