Udupi: Investiture of school cabinet held in Trinity Central School, Perampally

Udupi, Jun 17: The investiture ceremony of the school Parliament of Trinity Central School, Perampally was held on June 16.

The students from nursery to grade 10 witnessed their leaders taking the oath and promising to work for the betterment of the school.

The chief guest of the programme Veena B N, the deputy district commissioner of Udupi, principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, academic coordinator. Magdelina Lewis, Primary section head Dr Poornima Devadiga, Pre-Primary Section head Renita Monteiro, Archana Shetty teacher-in-charge of grades 8-10 and Shruthi D’Souza teacher-in-charge of grades 5-7 were present on the dais.

 

The investiture ceremony is one of the first momentous occasions of the school. Delegation of responsibility and giving authority to students is important, as it teaches them lifelong skills of being responsible, powerful and caring; at the same time making them best citizens of this country.

Newly appointed leaders were all set to shoulder their responsibilities as they put their best foot forward in a co-ordinated march.

This contingent of efficient leaders and office bearers were led by head boy - Anson John Fernandes and head girl - Sanvi Acharya.

The newly appointed office bearers of the school parliament took the oath and swore to abide by the rules and regulations of the school. The oath was administered over to the parliament members by the principal.

The pinning of badges with the sash to the newly appointed leaders and the cabinet office-bearers was done by the dignitaries on the dais.

Handing over the school flag and house flags to the newly elected head boy and the house captains respectively was done by the principal.

Veena B N the chief guest, was felicitated by the principal, academic coordinator, and the section heads, following which the chief guest addressed the gathering with positive thoughts to boost the energy of the newly formed parliament.

The principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo also conveyed his best wishes to the office bearers.

The investiture program was followed by the ceremony of awarding the merit certificates to the students who have achieved exceptional academic results in 2022-2023.

Shifa of grade 10 hosted the program by giving a brief introduction of the investiture ceremony. Anushka of grade 10 welcomed the gathering. Omkar of grade 10 proposed a vote of thanks.
