Mangaluru, Jun 1: Srinivas University Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities department of BA journalism and mass communication organised a guest lecture on 'The significance of research in journalistic writing' by Prof Bhavya Shetty, assistant professor and HOD department of journalism, Postgraduate Studies and Research in Journalism and Mass Communication, BSc Visual Communication, St Aloysius College (Autonomous) on May 31.
She spokeabout importance of research in journalistic writing and explained the role of journalist in society. Programme coordinator Prof Sushmitha, assistant professor, Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Prof Shreeraj S Acharya were present.
The vote of thanks was rendered by Jishna, first year BAJMC student. The programme was compered by Dhyanica Kaveramma, second year BAJMC student.
