Tumkur: Five Killed, Several Injured in Tempo-lorry Collision

Tumkur, Jul 10 (PTI): Five persons were killed on the spot and seven others critically injured when a Tempo Trax rammed into a lorry near Nelahal bridge on NH-4 in the wee hours of Sunday July 10, police said.

The incident occurred when the driver of the Trax was moving in a "rash and negligent manner," police said.

All the deceased were labourers were from Lingasugur in Raichur district and were moving to Bangalore in search of work, police added.

While seven of the critically injured have been rushed to a hospital in Bangalore, six others have been admitted to the district hospital here, police said.
