Mangaluru: International Women’s Day celebrated at Institute of Aviation Studies Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Mar 9: International Women’s Day was celebrated at the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University on Wednesday, March 8. The motive of the programme is to commemorate and honour women's accomplishments, raise awareness about gender disparities and discrimination, as well as promote global support for women.

On the occasion of women’s day, a face painting competition was organized at their campus for the students of B.B.A Aviation Studies and MBA Aviation studies. The programme was organized by the cultural coordinator Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, and Prof Kavyashree Course Coordinator, Institute of Aviation Studies.

The competition helped the students to bring out their creative ideas and talents. The student painted their models, unleashing their hidden potential. The students from the Institute of Aviation Studies exhibited their artistic skills. The students took part in large numbers and made the event a grand success.

Swaraj (III year BBA Aviation and Logistics Management) and Gokul Raj (II Year BBA Aviation Management) were declared as winners and received first place. Amitha S N (III year BBA Aviation and Logistics Management) and Sneha (I year BBA Aviation and Logistics Management) secured second place. Anusha ( II Year BBA Aviation Management) and Swathi (I year BBA Aviation and Logistics Management) took third place.

From the department of MBA, Pratheeksha Shetty (I year MBA Aviation Management) and John Rodrigues ( I year MBA Aviation Management) were declared as winners.
