Mangaluru, Mar 8: To solemnize womanhood and to pay tribute to the indomitable spirit of women, class 8B and C organized the International Women’s Day on March 8 in the school auditorium.

Prayer service by the students helped the audience to have spiritual transaction with the creator of heaven and earth. The welcome dance set the tone for the grand fiesta. 'A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform' — the brainy quote of Diane Marie child, the famous author of Mother Wit was beautifully epitomized in the dance drama entitled 'Woman - A Super Power'. 'Women are Makers of Peace' and ‘Gender Equality’ were exemplified in thought-provoking skits executed with utmost care and precision receiving a thunderous applause.

Significance of International Women’s Day was highlighted by Aamna Zaara and Inan Zara. Lara Mathias in her presidential address, through vignettes and concrete examples, stressed on the major components of women’s empowerment.

Anas Imthias and Khairunnisa compered the programme and Isha M proposed the vote of thanks.
