Mangaluru: St Agnes Preparatory school holds Merit Day for students of kindergarten

Mangaluru, Mar 1: St Agnes Preparatory school held its Merit Day on February 24. It was time to applaud and reward the students for their sincere efforts during the academic year 2022-23. The school honoured all its achievers for having attained a sterling record both in academics and cultural activities. It was not just academic excellence that was appreciated but also categories such as co-curricular excellence, most virtuous student and regularity and punctuality too.

Around 74 students per section and class were honoured for their outstanding achievements.

The chief guest of the ceremony was Susan Rasquinha a paediatrician by profession accompanied by the school principal Sr Maria Gracilda AC.

The ceremony began with seeking Lord’s blessings followed by welcome dance by tiny tots and welcome address by teacher Shanthi. An action song was then performed by students brought loud applaud from the audience.

Susan expressed her gratitude for inviting her and also motivated the winners to go ahead and achieve their heart’s desire. The principal encouraged the winners to continue to uphold the values which are the integral part of the institution. She appreciated the joint efforts of students, teachers and parents for their brilliant performance and urged to continue doing the same.

It was indeed a proud moment not only for the winners but also for the parents who had been invited to be a part of this glorious event.

The programme was compered by Josna and vote of thanks was proposed by Mary thanking everyone for being a wonderful audience and enthusiastic participation. The programme was brought to a closure with the school song.
