Beltangady, Feb 26: Beltangady police raided around eight lodges on Saturday February 25 and collected details of people residing in them.
Police inspector Satyanaraya K, along with personnel, inspected the lodges under the orders of SP and guidance of Bantwal DySP and warned the lodge managers and owners to prevent any untoward incidents or illegal acts in the lodges.
It may be recalled, Beltangady police had raided lodges earlier on February 10 and rescued five women involved in prostitution and filed a case on four men, who were carrying out the illicit trade.
Lodges and homestays that fall under the limits of Dakshina Kannada police were also raided by police officers. CCTV cameras and record keeping registers were checked. They also warned the owners to prevent any illicit trade and inform police in case of any suspicious people.
