Udupi, Jun 2: Swami Sugunendrateerta of Puttige Mutt, who has created a revolution in the religious sphere in India and abroad, has now drawn up plans to lead Kemundelu Higher Primary School which lacks essential infrastructural facilities.
Swami Sugunendrateerta, who had announced in the past that he would adopt Kemundelu School has come forward to manage the administration.
As a first step in this regard, he distributed notebooks sponsored by Puttige Mutt to students of the school, on Wednesday June 1.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Sugunendrateerta said that he is an alumnus of the same school and fortunate to lead its administration. “The alumni of this school are shining in the country and abroad,” he added.
“Our priority is improving the infrastructure in Kemundelu School. The basic facilities, appointment of teachers, and school bus will be done in the first stage,” added the Swami.
Ravish Tantri of Puttige Mutt, young entrepreneur Santosh P Shetty Tenkaraguttu, alumnus Suresh Kulal and others were present on the occasion.
School head teacher Usha compered the programme.
