Bantwal, Dec 8: St Dominic School, Mariashram, Badakabail celebrated its Annual Day on December 2 at the school grounds.
The day's events started with the prayer service in the morning, followed by hoisting the school flag by the principal Fr Francis Arun D’Souza. The correspondent Fr Reginald Dmello, the finance administrator Fr Sunil Christopher Dsouza, the teachers and the teacher assistants participated in this programme.
The annual day programme was scheduled to start at 5.30 pm, and parents of all the students were invited. On the school grounds, a sizable stage and seating area were built for the event.
Many eminent dignitaries were present at the annual day celebration, including Fr Daniel Veigas - episcopal vicar for Religious, Mangalore diocese, Fr Prasad George - prior provincial, Province of India, B Ramanath Rai - former minister of Ecology and Environment, Fr Valerian Dsouza- dean of Bantwal Deanery, Fr Patrick Sequeira - parish priest of St Michael Church Bellur.
The teacher Jyothi Dmello, welcomed the audience. The head boy, Lenstar Monteiro, delivered the vote of gratitude. The master of ceremonies was teacher Bhavya Rekha Dsouza.
