Mangaluru, Oct 22: The department of hospitality science of the Yenepoya Institute of Arts Science Commerce & Management (YIASCM) inaugurated its student board and there after fresher's day of the department on October 21 at B block auditorium.

Chef Ashish Sanyal, executive chef of The Taj Gateway hotel, Mangaluru was the chief guest for the programme. Dr Shareena P, vice principal & dean, faculty of commerce and management, Mervin Jaison Vas, head, department of hospitality science, Afnaan Moosa, president and  Alwin Eldho, secretary of student board, department of hospitality science were present on the dias.

It started with seeking the blessings of the almighty. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest by lighting the lamp.

The guest handed over the badges to all the office bearers of the student board followed by the oath taking which was lead by Dr Shareena P.

Then the logo for the department was inaugurated by chief guest along with the dignitaries.

The programme was organized by the second and final year students.

Kashif K Y, II BSc hospitality science, welcomed the gathering and Suhail Hussain, II BSc hospitality science, proposed the vote of thanks. Vyshnavi Praveen and Difina Shaji, III BSc hospitality science, compered the formal programme.
