Bantwal: Carmel College Modankap organizes blood donation camp

Bantwal, Oct 7: The Youth Red Cross Unit of Carmel College, Modankap in cooperation with NITTE university Deralakatte and other socially concerned platforms like KSAP, National Aids Control organization, Government Blood bank and Human Rights association jointly organized a one-day Blood Donation Camp in the College premises. The inauguration ceremony was held in the college auditorium. Chief guest Dr Ganapathi Gowda, Nodal Officer Youth red cross, Mangalore university Inaugarated the programme by lighting the lamp, in his inaugural speech he explained the history and importance of Blood Donation. College principal Dr Sr Latha A.C, Dr Badruddin M N Aids Control officer, Dr pushpalatha Doctor Taluk hospital Bantwal, Dr Kunal department of pathology Nitte university, Iqbal were present on the dias.

During the blood donation camp, a total number of 60 Student volunteers, lecturers. The general public and well-wishers donated blood.

Tejasvi 3rd BCom meticulously compered the programme. Roshni And team sang a prayer song, Vijetha lecturer in Commerce introduced the guests and welcomed the gathering, Supreetha lecturer in Kannada proposed the vote of thanks.
