Puttur: St Philomena PU College inaugurates Philo Rovers, Rangers Unit

Puttur, Sep 30: The inaugural programme of Philo Rovers and Rangers Unit was held on September 29 at St Philomena PU College, Puttur.

The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp. The president, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, principal, St Philomena PU College, Puttur said, "The motto of Rovers and Rangers Unit is to provide service to the society and contributing more to the society will lead to self growth which in turn results in satisfaction".

The chief guest, Preethesh, District Youth Unit president and Himalayan Wood Badge Rovers Scout Leader said, "Rovers and Rangers Unit helps in the overall development of the personality and engages them in creative and constructive social work".

The chief guest, Sunitha M, Physical Education teacher and leader trainer, Shri Ramakrishna High School, Puttur said, "The purpose of Rovers and Rangers unit is to contribute towards the development of young people and is exposed towards huge activities based on adventure and personal interests".

Certificates were distributed to the Rovers and Rangers who participated in various event.

The co-ordinators, Sharath Alva, Rajesh Moolya and Poornima D S co-ordinated the programme .

Rover Mohammad Azeem(II HEPS) welcomed the gathering. Ranger Poorvi ( II PCMB 'B') proposed vote of thanks. Ranger Sanjana Rao(II HEPS) compered the programme.
