Udupi, Sep 14: Teachers’ day was celebrated at Trinity Central School, Perampally with enthusiasm and vigour on Monday, September 5, as a token of love and appreciation for the selfless service and dedication of the teachers.
A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others. The teachers play an important role in helping the students to become adults with knowledge and wisdom. A formal program was organized for the teachers.
The SPL Rayan Danny escorted the teachers to the programme and the dignitaries to the dais. The members of the Parent Teachers’ Association were also present at this juncture.
The school choir group led into a harmonious prayer. All the dignitaries on the dais ignited the lamp as a mark of light being the guide to show a rightful path of knowledge.
The members of the PTA organized a small programme as a token of appreciation for teachers of their children. A beautiful cake was cut by the teachers to share the joy of teachers’ day.
The PTA members showed their gratitude to Vidhyalakshmi Bhat, Savitha Nagesh and Gloria Dsouza for their dedicated service to the school over the years and felicitated them.
Chandidni Niranjan, Ambika and Vandana read out the citation and all the dignitaries on the dais along with the members of the PTA offered a traditional felicitation.
Sudhakar Prabhu, the PTA member shared a few thoughts about the school and the teachers. He appreciated the selfless service of the teachers and expressed his gratitude to the management and staff.
All members of the staff were honoured with a small gift of appreciation by the PTA members.
Shrinivas, the PTA member, conducted some fun games for the teachers.
It is best and right to hear a few words coming up from a teacher itself. Leslia Soares shared her experiences in her journey as a teacher. The principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo also spoke a few words on this juncture. He appreciated and thanked all the members of the staff for their service and dedication to the school.
The SPL Rayan Danny spoke on the occasion and spoke about the important role played by the teachers in his life.
A cultural programme was organized by the students to their teachers in the afternoon. The students performed a dance to portray the students’ life which made the teachers feel nostalgic about their school days. A standup comedy in Tulu language was presented by Rajath of grade 10. Students also showcased their talents by performing dance, song and a speech.
After the stage programme various sports activities were organized for the teachers. The teachers remembered their childhood as they played games like dodgeball, tug of war, ludo and carrom. It was indeed a fun frolic day for all the teachers. The teachers sincerely thanked and were grateful to the students for such a wonderful programme.
Vonan of grade 10 welcomed the gathering. The formal programme concluded by the vote of thanks delivered by ASPL Deepthi.
