Kochi, Apr 19 (PTI) His team might have benefitted in the final analysis but Kochi Tuskers Kerala captain Mahela Jayawardene still wants a review of the Duckworth/Lewis system for rain-truncated matches, saying it was time to see if it was good enough to be used in Twenty20 and ODIs.
"It has to reviewed. Duckworth/Lewis is a method which they came up for ODIs. To my limited knowledge, they do take an average score to make that formula. I think it is somewhere around 230 or 240. So once you take an average score like that and apply that in Twenty20s, the whole thing is different," Jayawardene said after the seven-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings in a rain-affected IPL match last night.
"You start from a 50-over match and then you start with 20-over match or 18-over game or 17-over game and you work backwards.
