Kolkata, April 18 (IANS) After facing a humiliating defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne Sunday sent out a strong message to his teammates saying the tough Indian Premier League was not for non-performers.
"The performance was soft and embarrassing. Cricket is a performance based game. IPL is a tough tournament. If you don't perform you don't play. Unfortunately we haven't performed well," Warne said in a post match press conference after his team went down to KKR by eight wickets.
Warne said that his team missed Rahul Dravid and hope that Mr dependable would be back in the next game.
"He is a class player. That's why we had spent money on him at the auction. But he is currently having an injury. We hope he plays in the next match," said Warne. Rajasthan Royals were shot out for 81, and Kolkata Knight Riders raced to 85/2 in 13.5 overs.
