Mumbai: Bunts Sangha celebrates annual Ganesh Chaturthi

Mumbai, Sep 1: Bunts Sangha Mumbai celebrated annual Ganesh Chaturthi under the guidance of president of the sangha Chandrahasa K Shetty and under the leadership of Jnana Mandira samithi president Krishna V Shetty at the Mahavishnu temple here on August 31.

Chief priest Vidwan Arvind Banninthaya offered poojas to Ganapathi deity in the morning. Harish Vasu Shetty decorated the idol and the priest installed it. Padmanabha Shetty Bantwal and Divya P Shetty were in charge of Ganahoma sponsored by nine regional committees. Bunts Sangha ladies wing members performed Bhajans.

Bunts Sangha president Chandrahas K Shetty, vice president Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty, honorary chief secretary Dr R K Shetty, treasurer CA Harish D Shetty, joint secretary Diwaker Shetty Indrali, joint treasurer Mundappa S Payyade, ladies wing president Uma Krishna Shetty, youth wing president Sagar Diwaker Shetty, Jnana Mandira committee former president Jagannath Shetty, vice president Diwaker Shetty Kurla, secretary Suresh Shetty Shibaroor, treasurer Ashok Pakkala, Ravindranath M Bhandary, other office bearers, regional committee heads, subcommittee presidents, ladies and youth wing office bearers, members and devotees celebrated the festival with religious fervour.

The idol was immersed in the evening in between religious rituals. Manorama N B Shetty, Lata Jayarama Shetty, Kalpana Krishna Shetty and Chaitra Pravin Shetty served meals.
