Mangaluru: Ryan International School celebrates Independence Day

Mangaluru, Aug 15: Independence Day has a special place in the hearts of every Indian. Not only does it symbolize the celebration of wonderful years of freedom, but it also extends an emphatic message about the progressive future of our country.

The flying colors of freedom and joy hoisted very high at Ryan International School, #Mangaluru, celebrating the 'Independence Day'. The day highlights the never-to-be-forgotten glory and sacrifices made by the great martyrs, the warriors of India.

Col A K Jayachandran (rted) the chief guest for the occasion, was escorted by the guard of honor and welcomed by Helen Lobo, principal (Ryan International School, Mangaluru). To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the national anthem. Its echo filled the ambiance with patriotism and nationalism.

The students of primary and secondary school performed a series of brilliant acts such as theme play, dance, speech, song, and other enactments to uplift the sense of human excellence, ‘One-ness and Nationalism’ in all our hearts.

Col Jayachandran (rted), addressed the gathering and appealed to take pride in being an Indian and fulfil one’s duty and responsibility towards the nation and the world. He emphasized that the behavior of an individual towards others is of utmost importance and that the legacy that we have inherited from our elders should not die. He encouraged the students to be good citizens by being disciplined, polite, respecting our elders and truly respecting the laws of our country and live in harmony.

Indeed, it was a day of elation, a day of love and respect for the nation, instilling in the students the value and reverence for the precious gift of freedom, by the great leaders of the country. Here are the glimpses of the activities.
