Belthangady, Aug 15: The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Holy Redeemer Church premises. The programme began at the Holy Redeemer Church ground with large crowd of students, parents, staff, members of school management committee, members of PTA committee and parishioners.
Fr Fredrick Brags, director of Dayalbagh Ashram was the chief guest, Fr Joseph Cardoza, correspondent and the parish priest of Holy Redeemer Church, Fr Clifford Pinto, principal Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Renni Vas, headmistress of Church Higher Primary school, Pauline Rego, secretary of parish pastoral council and Vincent D’souza, co-ordinator of Pastoral Commissions were present on the Dias.
The prayer song was sung by the school choir group. The guests were welcomed by offering the bouquets to commemorate 75th Independence day the chief guest.
Fr Fredric Brags unfurled the tricolour flag and delivered his inspiring message. The correspondent Fr Joseph Cardoza delivered his message.
The band performed excellent drill and at the end sweets were distributed. Prathiksha welcomed the gathering and Bhakti delivered vote of thanks. The programme was well compeered by Viyona Rego.
