'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrated by Nursery Kids of Mount Carmel Central School

Mangaluru, Aug 12: Life among the Nursery kids of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru was bubbling as they came to their classes in the tricolour dress in the shape of vegetables. It looked so fresh that the mouth started watering as they stepped on to the stage for the fancy dress competition on August 11.

On August 12, the nursery kids surprised the parents with their performance on India’s 75 years of Independence. A few articulated their sentiments of unity with confidence, while others expressed in action songs and dance.


Our honourable Prime Minister’s slogan “Har Ghar Tiranga” which expresses devotion and respect for our national flag, came alive in the hearts of the little ones with smiles on their faces.

Deepak, a parent from the audience spontaneously appreciated the courage, confidence and the spirit of patriotism in these tiny tots and thanked the management and the teachers for creating those waves of loyalty and to express their love for free India.

Sr Maria Anita AC, the joint secretary of the Institution gave away the certificates to the winners of the competitions. The celebration ended with vibrant singing of the national anthem and the distribution of sweets.
