Doha, Aug 7: Indian Cultural Centre’s Mega Cultural Carnival Events holds fifth day event commemorating the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, as part of ‘ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
INCAS Qatar held a spectacular grand cultural programme. The chief guest for the event was Sachin Dinkar Sankpal- first secretary (culture and education) Embassy of India who delivered an inaugural address highlighting the importance and history of our freedom struggle and the sacrifices by leaders.
P N Baburajan, president-Indian Cultural Centre delivered the presidential address followed by a welcome note by Hyder Chungathara, president-INCAS Qatar.
The occasion was marked by the presence of other dignitaries including A P Manikantan, chairman of Azadi ki Amrut Mahotsav Celebrations (ex-president ICC) and Mahesh Gowda, president Karnataka Sangha Qatar and heads of other associated organizations.
The event featured enthralling instrumental fusion music, classical dance, group dance, tablo and many more performances to showcase India’s unique heritage. The event highlight was the children’s dance performance waving the Indian Tri-colour emphasising the patriotic flavour of the event, enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience.
