Mumbai, Apr 6: The metro-based Billavaar Association founded on the ideology of Narayana Guru has been a guiding force to lac of community brethrens since many decades, said Billavar Association president Jaya C Suvarna.

Suvarna was speaking at the inaugural of local office of Billavar Association, here recently. The unity among the community brethrens has made the organization indeed a significant one. The local office of Lonavala Billavaa Association has been offered unto the society for the welfare of the community, he added.

Nithyanand D Kotian delivered the introductory address. Billavara Association honorary presidents Y Nagesh, L V Amin and  Nithyanand D Kotian, Jyothi K Suvarna, Jayanti V Ullal, Srimanti S Poojary, Shankar D Poojary, Premanath P Kotian, M Anand Poojary, Chandrashekar S Poojary, local office executive president Suresh D Poojary, vice-president Anand B Poojary, secretary Dayanand Poojary, former president Shekar Poojary, Lonavala municipal corporation deputy mayor Sridar Poojary, local lawyer Anant Jadhav, Baburao Vishwakarma and Nirmala B Vishwakarma were present.Suresh D Poojary welcomed the gathering. Honorary chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna compered the programme. 

The community women and Tulu – Kannadigas in large numbers were present.
