Mangaluru, Jul 30: Green is the color of life associated with nature, health, growth and prosperity and representing hope for a better future.
To know more about the colour Green The Green Week was celebrated from July 26 with an activity everyday beginning with colouring green objects, PPT presentation on colour green and green salad making, Class Craft was also conducted based on the colour green.
As a finale, tiny tots celebrated Green colour Day on Thursday, July 28. It was a fun filled day as all the children and teachers came dressed up in the different shades of green The corridors had a display of green coloured toys/things and green veggies and fruits. The classrooms were decorated and the colour green was highlighted everywhere.
There was a small stage programme by the little ones which began with a prayer followed by a prayer song. Some tiny tots were dressed up in green veggies and fruit like green apple, green mango, capsicum, cucumber, broccoli, brinjal and chilly and they spoke a few sentences on their nutritional values. Children tapped their feet to a green colour song and the ambience became more green and lively.
The programme was presided over by Sister Violette - the administrator, and Sr Rosemita, headmistress, St Ann’s Primary School along with Sameeksha were present for the Green Day celebrations. KG co-ordinator, Marina Dsouza welcomed the dignitaries with a green shawl. Sr Violette in her message appreciated the children for putting up a meaningful programme and applauded the teachers for training the little ones and appreciated the parents for their whole hearted co-operation for making this day a grand success.
All the vegetables were collected and distributed to the needy children in the campus during the programme as love offering and the beneficiaries thanked the principal, staff and the little ones and their parents for their kind gesture and generosity.
