Mangaluru, Jul 22: Students of Institute of Aviation Studies celebrated ‘Traditional Day’ on July 19 in order to promote ‘unity in diversity and also with the motive to keep our traditions alive’. Traditional day was held on July 19 at Institute of Aviation studies, Srinivas University, Pandeshwar. It is a day designated for the students to come in the traditional attire.

Event was inaugurated with lighting of lamp by the Dean of Institute of Aviation Studies, professor Pavithra Kumari; professor Kavyashri, course coordinator; professor Anjana T V, cultural coordinator; and the student representatives Gurukiran, Gaurav Devadiga, Diya Salian, Seema, Sakshi.

The celebrations were followed by a talent hunt programme for the crown of ‘Traditional King and traditional Queen’. The event was followed by various rounds, were the students flaunted their traditional attire and also showcased their talent.

The winner of the title Traditional king was Akshan, third year BBA (Aviation Management) and winner of the title Traditional Queen was Seema, second year BBA (Aviation Management). The winners were crowned by the Dean, professor Pavithra Kumari, Institute of Aviation Studies. It was a great success and it definitely strengthened the bonds among the students and also connected with past, in addition to building memories of present.
