Mangaluru, Jul 1: The annual general body meeting of Hayatul Islam Badriya Juma Masjid and madrasa was held in the masjid premises. Khateeb of the masjid and the madrasa, Khateeb Safwan Irfani set the meeting in progress after a dua.

The report and the accounts for the year 2021-22 were tabled in the meeting. President of the masjid Haji Mohammed Hanif said that everybody from the jamat has cooperated in the development of the mosque. Several projects are planned in the mosque and the jamat should extend similar support to them in the future, he said.

The jamat elected the new management committee. Mohammed Iqbal was elected president, Iqbal A P was elected as vice president, Ahmed Bava as secretary, Mohammed Arif as joint secretary, Mansur as treasurer, Abdul Razak, Abdul Khader, Shahul Hameed, Sajuddin, Iqbal, Saifuddin and Sulaiman Shekhabba were elected as members.

Masjid Muallim Jabir Jauhari, Mohammed Mukri, Haji Hanif Maulavi and others were present.
