Belthangady: Patron’s Day celebration held at Anugraha Institutions

Belthangady, Jun 14: Anugraha Educational Institutions, Ujire, celebrated it’s Patron’s Day on June 13. It was a day to honour their Patron Saint, St Antony of Padua.

Thanksgiving mass was held in the church. The Correspondent Fr James D’Souza was the main celebrant. The principal Fr Vijay Lobo in his homily said that student must try to attain the holiness of life.

After the Mass, all students gathered in the auditorium. In a formal programme, M Vanaja Joshi, retired teacher of primary section was honoured for her 35 year-long service.

The correspondent and the parish council vice president Antony Fernandes spoke on the occasion. Principal Fr Vijay Lobo welcomed the gathering.

Ravi Kumar, incharge headmaster of primary section proposed a vote of thanks. A cultural programme was staged by the students.

The programme was compered by Sr Sneha.
