Mangaluru: Cabinet Inaugural Ceremony of St Mary’s English Higher Primary School

Mangaluru, Jun 13: The cabinet inaugural ceremony of St Mary’s English Higher Primary School for the academic year 2022 – 2023 was held on 9 June 2022 at 9 am in the school hall.

The chief guest, Sr Maria Kripa A.C the joint secretary and Sr Letitia A.C the headmistress of the School were accompanied to the venue in a formal march led by the school pupil leader Rachel Monteiro holding the School flag followed by the School Band and the 38 new School Cabinet members.

The programme began with a prayer service and lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and the headmistress of the school. They were greeted with Aarati as per Indian culture and the budding dancers welcomed them dancing on their toes to the rhythm of the music.

Sr Letitia A.C. the headmistress of the School along with the School alma mater administered the oath taking ceremony. The student council was given the sash and badges by the dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Sr. Maria Kripa congratulated the newly elected student cabinet members and gave an inspiring message on the theme ‘LIGHT’ and emphasized the qualities of an efficient leader. She motivated them to work with confidence, competence and enthusiasm. She also advised them to be their best, to do their best and to work with team spirit. A few PTA members were present to witness this ceremony.

To cherish this memorable day, the students of class 1 of St Mary’s Kannada Primary and Vidya Jyothi, Kavoor, Schools were given sets of school uniform, an umbrella, water bottle and a school bag with stationery each.

Shaivi S Adyanthaya and Prapthi L Kotian compered the programme. Rachel Leora Monteiro the School Pupil leader proposed the vote of thanks.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
