Karkala: Motor Bike Knocks Down Pedestrian

Karkala, Mar 10: Manjunath Bhakta (66), hotelier and owner of a fair price shop in Hebri, lost his life after a motor bike knocked him down when he was crossing the road at Someshwar on Tuesday March 8. He is survived by wife, two sons, and two daughters.

Bhakta was crossing the road to reach his hotel from his residence, when the bike moving towards Hebri from Koppa hit him. He was seriously injured in the accident, and breathed his last while being taken to Manipal Hospital. The bike rider suffered minor injuries.

A case has been registered in Hebri police station in this regard.
