Mangalore: H R Expert Gopinath Conferred with NIPM Fellowship Award

Mangalore, Mar 7: S N Gopinath, former student of Roshni Nilaya was bestowed with ‘NIPM fellowship award’ at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi for rendering professional service to Human Resources for more than 35 years.


He is a well-known professional in HR circle, not only in Bangalore, but all across the metros and states of India and overseas. S N Gopinath has done his B.Sc and later master’s degree in Social Work, from School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya.  He has a experience of 15 years in Human Resource department.

He has rendered service to the leading industrial establishments like Davanagere Cotton Mills, Triveni Engineering, San Engineering, KAVIKA and Deccan Herald Group, Vijay Wires, Mysore and Saroj Alloys and Steels, Hospet.

He later, took up consultancy service in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Development, Training and Development, and Recruitment among others for more than 20 years.

He is involved with many organizations in carrying out the assignment of OD initiatives of culture building exercises, bringing in attitudinal change amongst the employees, developing high standard of work culture and discipline, preventive and pro-active approach to discipline, Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations.

He was the member of National Institute of Personnel Management. Later became the Chairman - 2001-2002 and had received the Best Chapter Award for his tenure.

As chairman, he conducted regional seminars on Human Resources and Industrial Relations throughout Karnataka and he is the only chairman who has taken this initiative of taking NIPM across Karnataka state and took image of NIPM to greater heights.

He was instrumental in reviving the Mangalore and Hubli NIPM chapters and formation of an NIPM group called ‘Vijayanagar HR Forum’ at Hospet.

Even now Gopinath is closely associated with all the chapters of NIPM in Karnataka.

Life Member - Karnataka Association of Professional Social workers.

Gopinath‘s wife Padmini is working in Public Library, Son Avinash is an Engineering Graduate with MBA – HR and working at Bosch Ltd., in Corporate HR Team, he is married and his wife Shilpa is a Software Engineer at Mind Tree, and Daughter Karuna is a Law Graduate and an alumni of National Law School, Bangalore, practicing Corporate Law & Intellectual Property Law with a leading Law Firm at Bangalore.
