Udupi, Mar 7:
The traffic on National Highway 17 was disrupted for over four hours on Sunday March 6 after a cargo-laden truck broke down in the middle of the road near Udyavar forest gate.

The inter-state cargo truck stalled in the middle of the road due to engine trouble.  It caused a pile up of vehicular traffic on either side.  Passengers using public transport and private motorists were stuck in the traffic snarl.

The traffic police managed to shift the stalled truck with the help of heavy duty cranes thus restoring smooth movement of traffic.
