Media release

Mangaluru, Jun 1: St Agnes school organised a grand welcome to the students on May 30, the first day of the new academic year. It was a mesmerising sight to see the students from grade I to VIII entering the premises with hope, joy and interest to learn something new. The parents holding hands of their children and the students meeting their friends and fellow mates, the anxiety of falling into new sections were all the memorable moments worth watching.

The physical education trainers, the art teachers along with the school cabinet members planned the grand welcome. To begin with the school premises was decorated with flags and balloons. The cabinet members welcomed the students in a creative way standing at the entrance gate. They assembled themselves at the entrance of the school and gave a dancing ovation to the students. The parents too co-operated in this gesture by being the spectators. All the children were made comfortably settled in their respective classrooms. The teachers too arranged their respective classes creatively with decorative boards and welcomed the students.

The principal welcomed the students and a meaningful prayer service was held by the cabinet members to welcome and bless the academic year. On the whole it was a great start to boost all the children back to school.
