Mangalore: Gokarnanath Temple Has Emerged as Centre of Harmony – Poojary

Mangalore, Mar 3: In the presence former union minister and the man behind the grand renovation of Kudroli Lord Gokarnanath Temple, Janardan Poojary, the silver chariot, donated by noted entrepreneur, Ramesh Kumar, and his wife, Urmila Ramesh Kumar, was dedicated to Lord Gokarnanatheshwara in Kudroli here on Wednesday March 2.

Speaking to the media persons on the occasion, Poojary said that Mahashivaratri happens to be the most auspicious occasion in the history of this temple. He noted that Ramesh Kumar couple have always been the ardent devotees of Lord Gokarnanatheshwara and family deities. While congratulating the couple for donating silver chariot towards fulfilment of one of the needs of the temple, he said that the temple has become a centre of spirituality, harmonious coexistence, and a place where a number of religious meet together. “I have been a devotee of the Lord since my childhood. The country’s erstwhile Prime Minister, President, etc, have visited this temple in the past. I hereby convey my Mahashivaratri wishes to everyone,” he said.

President of temple development committee, Jaya C Suvarna, management committee president, H S Sairam, vice-president, Raghavendra Kuloor, treasurer, Padmaraj, members, B K Taranath, Ravishankar Mijar, K Maheshchandra, spokesperson, Harikrishna Bantwal, Malati Janardan Poojary, K P Nanjundi, and a number of other dignitaries were present.

Sri Satyanada Swamy from Shivagiri and Pandit Narasimha Acharya from the city, were also present.
