Doha: Social Forum extends its support for ICBF's Insurance Scheme

Doha, May 20: ICBF insurance applications collected under the leadership of various units of Indian socio-cultural organization Qatar Indian Social Forum, were handed over to Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) president Vinod Nair on Tuesday May 17 at Integrated Indian Cultural Centre (IICC) under the leadership of Ayyub Ullal.

Welcoming the gathering, Mohammed Usman, general secretary, Social forum, said that the forum is campaigning to get maximum members enrolled amongst the Indian diaspora community and will continue to support this initiative. Salam Kunnamal, vice president, Social Forum, briefed about ICBF Beema Life Insurance Scheme, hailed that scheme exclusively crafted for Indian nationals having valid Qatar Resident Permit, and provides a coverage of 100,000 QAR, with a Low-cost premium 125 QAR for two years term, Scheme also covers permanent or partial disability up to the maximum covered amount depends on the severity of the disability.

At the Event, Social Forum Felicitated Dr. Fathima Raeesa, to congratulate her for being awarded 'Prapulla S Hegde Memorial Endowment' Gold Medal – with her outstanding performance as 'Best Post Graduate Student in M D Radiodiagnosis', from KMC Mangaluru, for the year 2021 from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

ICBF president Vinod Nair, thanked Social Forum for its unwavering support to the Insurance project and congratulated Dr Fathima Raeesa for her achievement.
ICC vice president Subramanya Hebbagelu, handed over the Momento from Social forum as token of appreciation, speaking on the occasion he congratulated Dr Fathima for her achievement and urged to pursue her knowledge as a tool to serve the Local community.

Presiding the Function, Social forum, president Ayyub Ullal, congratulated her on behalf of entire Indian community in Qatar for being such a truly inspirational and outstanding Icon for all the students, perusing their dreams in medical studies, in the state of Qatar and all over India.

Sophia Bukhari from Qatar University, Dr Syed Jaffery, president, Alumni AMU, representation from Karnataka association like, KMCA, SKMWA, Highland Islamic Forum, Hidaya Foundation, Family Friend Circle witnessed the function and expressed their gratitude.

Health awareness session on 'sleep disorder' presented by Dr Safwan Ahmad, Husband of Dr Fathima Raeesa, Consultant Neurologist and associate professor of Neurology, Father Muller medical College and Hospital, Mangaluru.

Parents of Dr Fathima Raeesa, Mumtaz Hussain and Ishrath Jahan Khan, elder sister Khadija Roohi, brother Rehaan Hussain were also present in the function. Usama Ahammed, secretary, Social forum, proposed the vote of thanks.
