Udupi: BJP District Unit Criticizes Christians Protest Against Probe Report

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Feb 23: The district unit of the BJP has termed the protests undertaken by the Christians in the twin-districts against the report of Justice B K Somashekara Commission of inquiry, which probed church attacks in the state, as being not a good tradition. It observed that holding of protests for the simple reason that the report has not come in their favour, is not justifiable.

“Holding of protests against the report of an inquiry commission, just because of the fact that the report is not favourable to a particular party, are not marks of high principles and traditions. The Christian community, which had welcomed the interim report of the commission, is surprisingly opposing the final report,” it observed.

It said that the Christian organizations should not have accepted the creditability of the commission in the initial stage itself, if they had any misconceptions. Opposing the report just because it has not favoured them is not a good tradition, it observed.

It has also criticized the efforts being made by certain leaders to project the church attacks as the insult heaped on the entire community, and separate the Christians from the mainstream of the society.

Dear BJP fellows Chiristians restarted the tradition of peaceful protest against injustice which was out of the scene for so many years. It might be a simple reason for you, yet it was apparent. There was no chaos at all during the protest unlike your tradition of bundhs. Everyone knows who's dividing the society based on religion. What went so profound prolific for a political party which virtualy had no existence before 1991?
I voted for BJP in the last assembly polls just because I felt HDK was unfair with them & they deserve a chance to prove themselves & of course they proved that they are not trustworthy.

BJP should know if they were in our position, they would have again attacked Christian in a more ugly and dirty manner. Ofcourse Justice Somashekar has done lot of injustice in favouring the government and giving a judgment against Christians. Let Somashekar know, God is our righteous judge and one day this same man will be standing before the Judgement seat of God for his final judgement and when he is thrown to the lake of fire along with all those stood with Samashekar and Eddiyurappa they will realise then but it will be too late. The time of God's judgement will soon come to take place.

To start with the BJP district unit is absolutely clueless and blind to the reality. They do not know what are they talking about. Let them know that christians do not expect a favourable report but what they want is the truth. The actual purpose of the commission was to expose the culprits and bring them to book instead it is protecting the anti social elements. Christians are not blind and deaf to accept any nonsence from the govt or the BJP party. Just because we are non violent let them not perceive it to be our weakness. I would like to ask the BJP dist. unit if it is a good tradition of BJP/Sangh Parivar to attack churches and christians unprovoked? Let everyone know that we will not accept anything but the truth and will fight till the end. We request people to refrain from unwanted comments on our rightful demands without knowing the reality.

Lo, BJP is talking about high principles and traditions. What a joke from the people who rape their friend's wife and still remain in power, loot the country and still hold high posts, fear black magic and remains as CM of a well educated state. It is like Donkey teaching a Horse to gallop.

What if the commission report had come with truth saying BJP along with Sangha Parivar is responsible for the church attacks. Then because it did not come in favor of BJP, they would either called for a day's bundh as they did last time causing crores of loss to the state, or would have organised a big rally in whole karnataka.

Only BJP can do whatever they want in the whole state and country. If other do anything then they are wrong and they criticize it.

Only we all can say is 'GET WELL SOON BJP"
