Mangalore: Umarabba Takes Over as Registrar of Beary Sahitya Academy

Mangalore, Feb 21: Umarabba, who was recently appointed as the new registrar of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, took over charge on February 19.

Till then, registrar of Tulu Sahitya Academy, Chandrahas Rai, used to discharge duty as the in-charge registrar of Beary Sahitya Academy. Umarabba will be the full time registrar of the academy.

Umarabba was working as lecturer of political science in the government PU College at Krishnapura. He has deep knowledge in Beary, Kannada, Tulu and English languages. He had earlier served in National Service Scheme and as president of Jaycees.
