Kundapur, Feb 16: ‘Religious principles have been prescribed after giving deep thought about the overall well-being of the people and principles of righteousness. If one follows this path, he can lead a happy and contented life,” said Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor. He was delivering the benedictory address at the religious meeting organized on Tuesday February 15 evening on the re-consecration and Gendaseve of Sri Katte Bhandary Marlichiku Daivasthana in Kalavar village in the taluk.

Basrur Sharada College principal, Prof Chandraprabha Hegde, delivered religious discourse on the occasion. Managing trustee of the Daivasthana, Bhujanga Shetty, and Vedamurty Madhusudan Bairy, were present.

On the occasion, donors, Prabhakar N Shetty, Dinakar N Shetty, Sanjeeva Shetty Kalavar and other people, who donated considerable amounts for the renovation of the Daivasthana, were felicitated. Engineer of the building, contractor, priest, Shivaram Puranik, Darshana Patri, Mookambika Shedti, and others were honoured.

Sudha Murty rendered prayers. Daivasthana managing committee president, Prabhakar Shetty, welcomed. Suresh N Shetty Kalavar delivered introductory address. Journalist, Rajesh K C, presented the programme. Before the religious meeting, the Swamiji was taken in a grand procession accompanied by Kambala buffalos, musical instruments including Chende and Panchavadya, and large-sized puppets made of bamboo.
