Mangaluru, May 3: A 17-year-old girl, who should have been living her colourful youth day, is fighting for her life instead.
Likitha, a resident of Marnemikatte here, had many dreams for her future. She wanted to pursue good education. She was determined to make her dreams a reality through a good job. Unfortunately, luck was not in her favour.
After experiencing sight difficulties in heath, Likitha's parents took her to a clinic for examination. After detailed examination, it confirmed that Likitha is suffering from Craniofacial Deformity termed as Hypertelorism (Increasing distance between the orbits of eyes).The doctors recommended a surgical correction and specialized treatment. The specialized treatment is estimated to cost Rs 6,00,000.
The parents are now helpless and watching in dismay as Likitha's health is deteriorating with each passing day. They are now seeking financial help from willing donors to provide treatment. They hope that her treatment continues and she can lead a normal life again.
