New Delhi, Feb 14 (IANS) Reliance Power Monday reported a 98 percent increase in total income at Rs.355.13 crore ($79.3 million) for the quarter ended Dec 31 and said its net profit has risen 7.5 percent at Rs.143.61 crore ($32.1 million).
In a regulatory filing with bourses, the company also said it has signed a pact with the Indonesian government for developing coal mines and associated logistics for long-term supplies to its large power plant at Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
The shares of the company, a part of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, were ruling at Rs.117.64 soon after the regulatory filing, up 2.44 percent, or Rs.2.80, over the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The other highlights of the filing are:
-The 4,000 MW Sasan ultra-power project is largest in the world for carbon credits
-Value of carbon credits for Sasan project valued at Rs.2,000 crore for 10-year period
-The 600 MW Phase I of Rosa project in Uttar Pradesh operating at full capacity
-The 2,400 MW Samalkot project, largest globally based on gas, to be up by year-end
-Coal-based power projects of over 20,000 MW progressing as planned
