Mangaluru: St Agnes College organizes session on 'Skill Development for Career Excellence'

Mangaluru, Apr 27: A student enrichment programme on 'Skill Development for Career Excellence' was organized by the Post Graduate department of Commerce, St Agnes College, Mangaluru on April 23 in the PG Auditorium. Dr Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor, assistant professor, department of Humanities, NMAMIT, NITTE was the resource person for the programme for two and half hours. The beneficiaries of the session were UG and PG Commerce students.

The objective of the program was to make the students comprehend the importance of Skill development inever-changing environment. As the system of education is changing the expectations of the corporates are also changing. Hence it has become a necessity for each student to reskill and upskill themselves from time to time.

The session also included Management Lessons and certain eye to detailing activities which kept the students involved in throughout the session. The resource person emphasized the importance of different courses which the students should register from time to time which would help them throughout their career. The students were very excited and gave a positive response for the session and the department promised to have more such sessions in the near future.
