Dubai: Eighth annual day celebration of Kannada Patashale held

Dubai, Apr 26: The eighth year valedictory function of Kannada Patashale was held on April 24 on virtual mode.

T S Nagabharana was presided over the function. Vishweshwara Bhat was the honorary guest. Hiremagalur Kannan, Nagashree Thyagaraj, Praveen Shetty and Mohan Narasimha Murthy were the special invitees.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagabharana lauded the effort of Kannada Mitras who are trying to build Kannada in the land of Arabs.

Special programme ‘Dinadinada Mathukathe Chandanada Thampanthe’, anchored by Hiremagalur Kannan and Nagashree Thyaragaj was the attraction of the event.

Shashidhar Nagarajappa did the introductory speech. Dr N Someshwar and Boluvaru Mohammed Kunhi were felicitated with the Kannada Mitra international award for the current year.

Siddalingesh of Kannada Mitraru UAE gave the details of school project, Sunil Gavaskar appreciated the service of technology department. Nagaraja Rao gave the details of repair work done at Udupi Kannada patashale.

Kavya Yuvaraj compered the event. Vinay Kumar welcomed the gathering. Banu Kumar rendered vote of thanks.
