Mangalore: Beary Academy Committed to Safeguard Folk Games: M B Abdul Rehman

Mangalore, Jan 24:
The academy will never give up the objective of contributing towards folk games as they are a part of our culture, said M B Abdul Rehman, president of Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy.
 
He was speaking after inaugurating the Beary folk sports event held under the aegis of Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy at Kanachur Academy of General Education here on Sunday January 23.

The sports event organized by the academy intends to make the youth aware of traditional games. "People from different castes and creed have assembled under one roof for the event, thus promoting communal harmony," he added.
 
The academy members U P Abdul Razaq, P Mohammed, Hamza Malar, Harekala taluk panchayat member Mustafa Malar, Belma GP former president Haji Yusuf Bava, Bantwal TP former vice-president Umar Fazeer, up and coming writer Ismath Fazeer, DYFI leader Ibrahim Amblamogaru, teachers M H Malar, K M K Manjanady, H M Malar and H C Ranganath among others were present.
 
At the valedictory ceremony, MLA U T Khader, Hyder Parthipady, ZP former member Azeez Malar and Ibrahim Kodijal among others were present.
