Moodbidri, Jan 22: Working president of the reception committee for the upcoming programme by Sri Sri Ravishankar, founder of Art of Living Foundation, Dr M Mohan Alva, said that the renowned Guru will take part in a programme titled, ‘Mangala Sandhya’ being held from 6 pm to 8.30 pm on February 16, at Mangala Stadium, Mangalore. He was addressing a press conference here on Friday January 21.
He said that over 30,000 people belonging to Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts, which fall under Mangalore division of Art of Living Foundation, who have already undergone Sudarshan Kriya and Satsang programmes of the foundation, will take part in the programme. He put the total of number of the disciples and devoted followers of the Guruji, who are expected to congregate at the venue on that day, at over one lac. He recalled that the Satsang programme of Sri Sri Ravishankar in Mangalore in 2000 had attracted 30,000 people.
Alva said that all preparations including steps to install closed circuit televisions and provide parking spots for vehicles, are being made for the programme.
Committee secretary, K V Shenoy, and lecturer in the department of journalism, Harish K Adhur, were present.
